Best pizza outside Italy! Delicious salads and appetizers. Unique drink selection with full bar. Kid friendly! It's always a place we look forward to going every time we're in Ellijay.

The most delicious pizza! Small inside but worth the wait to get a slice. Servers are patient and kind. They have a great pizza selection. Appetizers and salad list looked like they had good options but we didn't order any. We had their margarita pizza and pepperoni with ricotta cheese. We ate every last crumb.

I celebrated my birthday here! The food was delicious and the service was awesome. The restaurant itself could use a little bit of a facelift & deep cleaning, but overall it was a great experience.

Food was fantastic. Pizza had fresh ingredients. Service was great and friendly. Ambiance was well balanced. Nice out side sitting area. We will return. A plus.

As good as wood fired pizza gets! My family stopped in for lunch on a weekday and were able to be seated right away. My husband and I split a caesar salad and a margherita pizza. The caesar was so good- perfectly crisp romaine not overly sogged with dressing & plenty of parm. The pizza was served piping hot and was delicious! Our toddler loved it as well. Definitely worth a stop in Ellijay!

Very good pizza, nice and light with the right amount of crispy. It came out hot and fast. The servers were friendly and attentive. The tables are packed in pretty tight, but overall this was a good choice for quick dinner. Leftovers didn't disappoint either!

Ellijay Wood Fire Pizza was my favorite place to eat during a recent visit to Ellijay, Georgia. We loved it so much we went twice for dinner. It is a cute little restaurant across from Ellijay's Square. I loved the cozy local vibe and excellent hospitality. Let's talk about the menu. We ordered Gilmer County's Best Meatball Parma for an appetizer, which was delicious. The cheese and sauce were the perfect complement. The marinara sauce wasn't too sweet or acidic. For the pizzas, we tried the El Greco (anchovy, caper, kalamata, olives, crushed tomato, onion, mozzarella, provolone) and the make your own, which in the menu is listed as New York Style Cheese and added different toppings. The crust and the sauce were the stars of the night; as mentioned before, the marinara wasn't too sweet or acidic. If you are in the area, I highly recommend eating at Ellijay Wood Fire Pizza. The place is small, so there may be a wait during peak hours. Also, it can get warm indoors, due to the wood fire oven.

Overview: 4/5 A great wood burning oven pizza joint. It's located in downtown Ellijay proper. A bit loud when it gets crowded. Ambiance : 5/5 Plenty of seating for large and small groups. They have high top tables as well as regular tables. Food/Drink 5/5 Plenty of local beers to choose from as well as signature drinks. We ordered the hummus platter that had lots of yummy bread and dipping sauces. Each of us got a personal pizza with custom toppings. The NY Style (for the New Yorker) was spot on! The sauce was not too sweet, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil on the side. Service : 4/5 Our server was good but needs to listen more carefully. I wanted to just "try" a sample of the local IPA. He brought a whole glass. Luckily I liked it so it wasn't a problem. He was great the other time. Conclusion : A keeper we will be back when we visit again,

We stopped in for an early lunch while exploring downtown. Our fam of 5 was seated immediately. Note that this space is very small, thus if you try to get a table during prime meal hours, you may have difficulty. We have lactose intolerant child and note that every menu item has some sort of cheese (according to our server). We knew we'd have to pick cheese off pizza for him, but hoped there would be a salad or breadsticks he could enjoy as-is. No breadsticks, but we did order the hummus with no feta and he really liked that. Not quite enough bread pieces or cucumber to enjoy all of the dip, but tasty! We really enjoyed our two pizzas, which were wood fired and a yummy, chewy crust. We ordered a white pizza-the col. Simmons 5-cheese with pepperoni added. Super tasty. Definitely ask for the sweet heat sauce on side if anyone is spice sensitive. We were bummed that they forgot the bacon. The second pizza was the pomodoro with added sausage. Also very good! The two pizzas and hummus app were just enough food for our family (with 3 kids under 10).
